This past weekend I watched my first complete episode of Transformers: Animated. I usually keep missing it. (And, there's no Wheeljack, although yes, I am sort of worried they'd screw him up anyway. Plus, he wouldn't have his correct voice!) It was pretty good, actually.

They introduced two of the Constructicons in this episode. I love the G1 Constructicons. Unfortunately, the Mixmaster and Scrapper in TF: A have personalities nothing like the originals. They were still sort of entertaining. But, they really did rely on stereotypes about construction workers for their characters.

I was surprised that Optimus Prime and company didn't try harder at the end of the episode (when it was apparent that the Constructicons had lost their memories) to convince them that the Autobots are the good guys. I suppose he wanted them to make their own choice, and the cartoon writers wanted to leave the audience in suspense about what would happen to the Constructicons in the future.

I saw part of an earlier episode, where Ratchet is trying to take two humans to a hospital. I could be wrong, but it looked like they were making a dig (or paying homage, I guess) at Spike and Carly in that scene.
