This is a bit overdue, since I saw the movie on opening day. Oh well. I've been away from here for a long time. Anyway, the short version is, I loved the first Transformers movie, and only liked the second one. Of course, I
know it's only meant to be a light-hearted action/comedy film, and light on plot/heavy on explosions. What dropped the film from "love" to "like" in my own opinion (matter of taste, and all that), was the fact that some of my favorite characters were dummed down for this new film, and the even lighter than usual plot. The fact that half-way through the film, one character directly begged for a complete run-down of the plot, rather than the film showing it to us (show, don't tell is a biggie for me sometimes) was a big turn-off for me.
What I
did like was seeing my favorite robots and humans again, and the film reminding us again of Bumblebee's and Sam's friendship. Also, leaving it open for a sequel? Yes! I've already heard that there is definitely going to be a Transformers 3. I can't decide if I wish Wheeljack will be in it or not. I was happy to see that Wheeljack made it in to TF:A looking much the same as he did in G1, and presumably serving much the same function. I just wish Hasbro had issued a TF:A toy version of Wheeljack! Le sigh. One can't have everything, I suppose.

Alien vs Predator
Sebastian De Rosa:
I think this is a manhood ritual. The humanoid ones, they've been sent here to prove that they're worthy to become adults.
Alexa 'Lex' Woods:
You're saying, they're, what, teenagers?
