Dear loleleventyone,

Why do you sometimes write crack fan fiction?

Sincerely,

A Concerned Reader

Dear Concerned,

I write crack because it is addicting. Just ask Sherlock Holmes! ;)

Yours,

LOL!11!!

I usually love all the different things various websites come up with for April Fools. Google's is pretty tame this year, though. The Star Trek website once did a great one with "Klingon Eye for the Starfleet Guy", but they've never done better since then. This is my first year paying attention to dA on Apr. 1st, and I have to say, I really do like the llamas. But why couldn't I get a Gaga icon instead of this one? :( Ah well.

Who cares about Edward and Jacob? Go Team Cliffjumper!

UPDATE: Part of my evil plans include attaining Super Llama status! So, comment on this entry, and we shall swap llamas. Help llamas take over the world! Muwahahahahaha!

Finally! A truly classy, beautiful car for the live action Transformers movies. I know it's all a matter of taste, but I found it slightly disappointing that the original G1 cartoon featured Transformers in alt modes as a Lancia, Lamborghinis, Porsches, etc., and all the first movie gave us was a Pontiac Solstice. :/ Ah well.

But now, according to this news article (with photos): www.insideline.com/ferrari/458… there will be a Ferrari 458 Italia in the third Transformers movie as an Autobot. I personally think it is a gorgeous and sexy car. And I bet you can guess who I hope it's going to be...Wheeljack! It would be perfect! He was originally an Italian race car, and now he can be an Italian sports car! Oh please let it happen this way!

No matter what, though, I'll still be checking out the film, and hoping it's better than the second one.

I've kind of written my first Transformers collaboration! superhappyvidel provided plot direction, art, and some jumping-off lines, while I fleshed it out a bit, and I had a blast! It's so wonderful when perverted great minds seem to run in the same direction.

My first time ever writing in a group was with two of my friends. We were very young, messing around, it was really cheesy, and a complete disaster. Boredom with the whole idea quickly set in. I can't even remember now if I ever had a chance to add a part. It definitely wasn't Transformers-related. Since then I've never had a whole lot of luck with writing with a partner, but I guess nothing is ever set in stone. I was nervous with submitting my little story, but it was a lot of fun to do. :D

Randomly, I found some packages of candy the other day that came with cheap plastic toys. Guess who was in two of the packages? G1 Optimus Prime and Wheeljack! Yes, they were lousy knock-offs of the real things, but I couldn't resist buying Wheeljack. At about a buck and with candy too, how could I lose? The Optimus Prime one was called either "Changing Robot" or "Transforming Robot" and looked mostly like mech-mode Optimus Prime, with most of the same colors and robot body type. It appeared that his alt mode was the same, too. I found them both at a gas station/junk food store, and now I'm wishing I picked up Prime, too.

Wheeljack, on the other hand, sadly does not transform. His package is called, "Race Car", and it came in several different colors. I bought the silver one, as it's the closest to his white body they had. He may not transform, but the car is a Lancia Stratos Turbo. It's really rare to find a toy car like that anywhere. True, it was the more common rally race version rather than the purely Wheeljack-version race car, of which only two real ones were ever made, but it still is a great match. I'm thinking of painting him in his proper colors, but they may be silly for such a cheap toy. I don't know. Go Lancias!

This is a bit overdue, since I saw the movie on opening day. Oh well. I've been away from here for a long time. Anyway, the short version is, I loved the first Transformers movie, and only liked the second one. Of course, I know it's only meant to be a light-hearted action/comedy film, and light on plot/heavy on explosions. What dropped the film from "love" to "like" in my own opinion (matter of taste, and all that), was the fact that some of my favorite characters were dummed down for this new film, and the even lighter than usual plot. The fact that half-way through the film, one character directly begged for a complete run-down of the plot, rather than the film showing it to us (show, don't tell is a biggie for me sometimes) was a big turn-off for me.

What I did like was seeing my favorite robots and humans again, and the film reminding us again of Bumblebee's and Sam's friendship. Also, leaving it open for a sequel? Yes! I've already heard that there is definitely going to be a Transformers 3. I can't decide if I wish Wheeljack will be in it or not. I was happy to see that Wheeljack made it in to TF:A looking much the same as he did in G1, and presumably serving much the same function. I just wish Hasbro had issued a TF:A toy version of Wheeljack! Le sigh. One can't have everything, I suppose. ;)
